We decided to take the short cut and forge the river at the bend and swim right across to the hot springs. The longer was is to park at the bridge and walk. The hot springs is legit hot. Great find!

River is pretty, but we did not find the hot springs. No signs.

The bridge to the island is closed. We decided to drive along the river up to the bend, turned right to stay next to the river until we where basically right across the small island. One can see the hot springs from there. We crossed the river at this point. The water is no more than hip deep (end of summer). The river bed is rocky, so take your time. It is worth it. The hot springs are in deed hot. We were glad we checked them out.

This is a majestic place. Hidden just off highway 20 at the apex of horseshoe bend. You have to cross the river at the apex and walk across the little island. Hot spring is on the river bank.
